MEET OUR OUTFITTER

Born and raised in Anaconda, Montana, Scott Collinsworth developed a passion for fishing and the outdoors at an early age, spending countless hours on the water with his parents. What began as a childhood passion grew into a lifelong pursuit, leading him to compete in fishing tournaments across Montana and build a deep connection with Fort Peck Lake.

Scott has competed in numerous tournaments through the Montana Walleye Circuit and the Fort Peck Series. He began tournament fishing alongside his dad, Dave, and later continued the tradition with his son, Hunter. Being cheered on by his wife, Jessica and his daughter, Madison along the way. In 2007, Scott took his competitive fishing experience to the next level by competing in an FLW Pro Qualifier tournament. These experiences helped shape his knowledge, skills, and appreciation for the sport and the people who make the fishing community special.

With well over 30 years of experience fishing Fort Peck Lake, Scott's connection to the reservoir runs deep. In 2018, he took the next step in his journey by purchasing Fort Peck Marina and moving to the area. Today, his passion for fishing and the outdoors continues to be a driving force behind his work and his commitment to helping others enjoy everything Fort Peck has to offer.

Scott enjoys pursuing all species of fish, from springtime walleyes, pike and smallmouth bass to king salmon and lake trout in the summer to late fall. He operates a 240 Ocean Pro Hewes Craft and a V238 Warrior, both equipped with the latest Garmin Livescope electronics. His experience on the water, combined with modern fishing technology and a lifetime of learning, allows him to continually refine his approach and pursue new challenges.

Beyond tournament success and time on the water, Scott has always believed in the importance of conservation, responsible outdoorsmanship, and passing along a respect for the outdoors to future generations. Some of his greatest rewards have come from raising his children in the outdoors and sharing the lifestyle he loves with them alongside his wife. Now, he looks forward to creating those same memories with his grandchildren and helping them develop their own appreciation for fishing, family, and the outdoors.

For Scott, fishing is about much more than catching fish. It is about family, tradition, conservation, and the lifelong friendships and memories made along the way. Through his continued involvement at Fort Peck Marina, he looks forward to sharing his passion for Fort Peck Lake and helping others experience the incredible fishing and outdoor opportunities that make this place so special.
